Short-Term Joint Staff Training Event 10-12 December 2019
Monday 9th December
Arrival in Bagheria at different time.
Tuesday 10th December
8:15 Teachers will be collected from the hotel.
8:30 – 9:00 Welcoming programme at school.
9:00-9:20 Tour around the school and school facilities.
9:20 – 10:00 Partners’ presentation of their countries in classes
10:00 – 10:30 - Break
10:30 - 11:10 - Coordinators’ meeting
11:10 – 14:00 - Training about STEM
14:00-15:00 - Lunch at school
15:00 - Departure for sightseeing Porticello e S.Elia- Capo Zafferano
16:30 – Visit of the Museo dell’acciuga. (Anchovy museum)
Time off
On the first day of our visit to Italy, we visited our Italian partner at their school.
After a warm welcome that started with students' shows, we made an elementary
school visit. Then, we made a presentation in which we introduced our country,
city and school. Then we attended STEM course. Finally we visited a local fish
museum
Wednesday 11th December
8:00 - Departure from the hotel.
8:15-9:00 - Observation of a lesson about Italian Cultural Heritage
9:00 - Visit of Palermo: Parco di Villa Orleans, The Cathedral, Piazza Pretoria,
I Quattro Canti e Teatro Massimo
14:00-16:00 - Free time in the city
Time off
On the second day of our visit to Italy, our Italian partner promoted Italy. After our
coordinators meeting, we visited the historical and touristic areas of Palermo
Thursday 12th December
8:30 - Departure from the hotel
8:45- 10,45 - Training about STEM
10:45- 11:00 - Break
11:00 – 12:00 -training about STEM
12:00 - 13:00 Coordinator meeting
13,00 -14:00 Lunch at school
Time off
20:00 - Farewell Dinner at “Magia dei sapori”restaurant
We started the last day of our visit to Italy with a meeting of coordinators. Then we
visited a fishing village near Bagheria. After the visit, we returned to school and
watched a musical show. Then we attended the STEM course. Finally, we finished
the day with a farewell dinner. Thanks to our host for hosting us and to all partners
for their participation
Friday 13th December
The different teams will leave to their countries.
